Jim Johnston is Director of Marketing for the Mercatus Center and the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University. He writes the direct mail fundraising and informational letters for both groups, focusing on bringing in "high dollar" $100, $500, $1,000 and up donors. He also is a freelance writer and consultant for several non-profit and political clients. Jim is a native of Mississippi, and a graduate of Tulane University. He's also worked at the Heritage Foundation.
