Kara Westercamp currently works as a trial attorney in the Civil Division at the Department of Justice on trade and government contract matters. Prior to moving to DC, Kara was an associate at Jones Day in New York, and also served as a law clerk to The Honorable John A. Jarvey, of the U.S.D.C. for the Southern District of Iowa.
In 2009, Kara received her J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Iowa, and in 2005, she received her finance and political science degrees from Iowa. Kara is active with the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and is a Spring 2018 National Review Institute Regional Fellow.
Kara is also actively involved with the Republican National Lawyers Association and the DC Young Republicans.
